Adcade Taps Carrie Coffee to Lead Revenue Generation for Ad Tech's First HTML5 Platform and Coding Language Built for Digital Advertising

Former Mojiva Sales Head Accelerates Adcade's Growth, Catalyzes Industrywide Movement Towards Creating Digital Ads That Work Across All Screens

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 02, 2014) - Adcade, the technology company that makes digital ads work across all screens, announced today that digital ad veteran Carrie Coffee has joined the company as VP of Sales & Business Development.

Ms. Coffee, a mobile advertising veteran, was previously VP of National Sales at Mojiva, a leading mobile ad network. Coffee will lead national sales efforts with agency and brand marketers as well as publishers, leading the adoption of Adcade's industry-first HTML5 ad-building platform and coding language built for digital advertising.

"It's no secret that the growth of digital ad budgets has not been fully realized, in part because of the lack of integration between mobile and display ad-building methods," said Ms. Coffee. "I'm excited to be a part of the Adcade team and leading the adoption of the most elegant and powerful solution to bridge the chasm between Flash, HTML5 and future technologies, eliminating challenges and enabling media, creative, brand marketers, networks and publishers to more effectively and efficiently monetize their brands."

Adcade has removed the mobile limitations of Flash-based digital ads. With advanced responsive design built into the platform, users can output ads that intelligently respond to every characteristic of a device, placement and the ad itself, regardless of media. The result is scale, reach across any screen, and easier-to-produce ads for improved Return on Investment and Return on Effort. The industrywide frustration with the incompatibility of Flash programming and mobile advertising precipitated the Interactive Advertising Bureau's recent open letter to advertisers imploring them to make a fundamental shift away from Flash to HTML5.

"We're experiencing strong growth as the market prioritizes connecting with consumers across screens," said Rob Cromer, Adcade CEO. "Carrie's experience and leadership is a great addition to our team."

Coffee's hiring comes on the heels of Adcade's close of its $5M Series A funding led by Polaris Partners with secondary support from ff Venture Capital and Quotidian Ventures. Ms. Coffee is assembling a robust sales team using much of the new financing as Adcade rolls out its new technology platform. Recent additions include Partner, Sales Manager, Justin Miller, formerly of rich media provider PointRoll.

"I have been lucky enough to partner with Carrie for many years. Her service and thought leadership in the mobile space has resulted in Fortune 500 companies increasing their mobile spend," said Rebecca Hawkins, Mobile Director, OMD Entertainment. "Carrie's ability to listen to brands and also challenge the status quo in order to elevate the marketplace for what brands want and need is exactly the kind of momentum that will be essential for Adcade's success."

Ms. Coffee's past digital advertising experience includes work for brands such as Toyota, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Microsoft, Disney, AT&T, HP, P&G and Levi's. She was named as one of Mobile Marketer's 2011 "Mobile Women to Watch" and sat on the board for the IAB Mobile Center of Excellence. Prior to her tenure at Mojiva, she was a Mobile Specialist at Microsoft Advertising in Los Angeles where she partnered with the digital sales team to bring mobile solutions to their cross-platform campaigns. She successfully launched the first branded mobile application for Microsoft Windows Phone with Saatchi & Saatchi and Toyota. In addition to her contributions to the digital community with Microsoft, she worked for 4INFO in San Mateo, CA, Medio in Seattle, WA and Real Networks.
